Lafayette Police say the man accused of causing a crash that killed a toddler on Moss Street, has turned himself in. Jamuse Broussard was charged following the January 16th wreck with OWI, Driving under Suspension, Failure to Yield While Turning Left and 2 counts of Vehicular Negligent Injury. After 2-year-old Kylan Jackson of Opelousas passed away from his injuries, charges were upgraded to Vehicular Homicide. The child was in another vehicle, driven by a 33-year-old Lafayette man, who did survive.
*Broussard was initially booked into jail under the name of James Broussard. Police have since corrected that booking information to reflect the name of Jamuse Broussard."
