From Lafayette Police: Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two male suspects who are alleged to be involved in a shooting that occurred over the holiday weekend. On April 2, 2010, at approximately 2:00 am, officers with the Lafayette Police Department were dispatched to the area of the 1100 block of North University Avenue regarding a shooting. The victim advised officers that he was involved in a disturbance with several males at a convenience store and had exited the parking lot in a vehicle with several friends. The suspects allegedly followed the victim and drove along side their vehicle near the intersection of Madeline and University Avenue. At least one shot was fired from the suspect vehicle, striking the victim in the lower back. The suspects immediately fled the area. The victim was transported to an area hospital, treated and released.
Detectives are attempting to identify the two suspects in the photos for their alleged involvement in the shooting. The suspects were possibly operating a black Infiniti G35 the night of the incident.
