The suspect in a July 2 home invasion and shooting that nearly killed a Lafayette restaurant manager has been arrested. The U. S. Marshal's Office apprehended Christopher Wilson in Houma early this morning at a residence in Houma. Lafayette police say Wilson shot Yousef Balbeisi after breaking into his home in the 100 block of Mimosa Place. Officials learned Wilson was in the Houma area and found him sleeping at a home in the 210 block of Columbus Street. Wilson is being held in the Terrebonne Parish Jail and is awaiting extradition to Lafayette.
