Suspect Arrested in Marrero Shooting

GRETNA, La. (AP) - A suspect in a shooting at a Marrero carnival that left a teenager dead and four others wounded has been arrested.
Jefferson Parish sheriff's deputies say 19-year-old Sheldon Harper of Avondale was booked Tuesday with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
Col. John Fortunato said 16-year-old Dan Walter Kerry died from a gunshot wound to the head Saturday night. The wounded victims included a 17-year-old girl and boys ages 14, 15 and 18.
It was not immediately known whether Harper has an attorney.
