Superintendent Contract Extension Approved

Lafayette Parish Schools Superintendent Burnell Lemoine's contract has been extended.
Board members approved that contract extension during Wednesday evening's school board meeting. Lemoine's original contract was set to expire on December 31, 2010. It will now be one year longer.
Along with the extension, he also gets a 2.5% salary increase, from 153-thousand dollars to close to 157-thousand dollars.
