NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The Federal Emergency Management Agency has provided the state with another $1 million for repairs to the Superdome to cover Hurricane Katrina-related damage.
Superdome spokesman Eric Egan said that the funds, disbursed to the Louisiana Office of Facilities Planning and Control, were only recently approved for the Superdome because the hurricane-related damage was discovered after renovations to the stadium had already begun.
Eagan says the money will be used for a number of hurricane-related repair projects, like shoring up some of the parking garages and repairing ticket booths.
