After five dreary, cold and occasionally wet days high pressure will build into the region allowing for sunshine to return to Acadiana Tuesday afternoon.
A winter chill will stay in the area though, through mid-week with highs in the upper 40s Tuesday.
Frosty conditions will be likely Wednesday and perhaps Thursday morning as temperatures near the freezing mark.
Partly sunny skies are anticipated Wednesday and Thursday with highs getting back into the mid-50s.
Milder weather is expected for Friday but another storm system will likely bring clouds and a good chance of showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms Friday night into early Saturday.
Rain chances should end for Saturday afternoon with drier and chilly air returning to the area Sunday into early the following week.
