NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Southern University at New Orleans officials say the spring enrollment will bring the university close to its pre-Katrina student population.
In a news release Wednesday, the university cited preliminary figures indicating spring enrollment will be 3,597. That would be a 9 percent increase from spring of 2011. And it would be 99 percent of the pre-Katrina enrollment of 3,647.
The university says the official enrollment numbers will be confirmed on Feb. 3, after final tuition payments have been made.
