Sunshine and warmer temperatures are in the forecast Monday with highs approaching 60 degrees. Unfortunately the nice weather won't last long this time as clouds will return tonight and rains return Tuesday.
An upper level system over the desert southwest will track eastward across Mexico and Texas tapping into a lot of moisture from the Pacific and the Gulf of Mexico. It will also move quite slowly and not exit the area until late Wednesday night. Rain will develop Tuesday afternoon, with heavy downpours possible into early Wednesday. Thunderstorms may cross the area Wednesday night.
Mild weather will return Thursday and Friday as skies clear out. Temperatures through the end of the week will climb into the low to mid 70s. Thunderstorms will move in with a front Saturday with colder weather returning late next weekend.
