High pressure at the surface and aloft will build into the Acadiana region allowing for abundant sunshine and warmer temperatures.
Look for highs Saturday to reach the low-mid 80s and Sunday well into the mid-80s, courtesy of mostly light southwest winds.
As the ridge of high pressure settles into the Gulf of Mexico increasing humidity and overnight lows can be expected into next week.
Mostly sunny skies will continue through Tuesday with partly cloudy conditions developing Wednesday and beyond.
Overnight lows will warm from near the 60 degree mark Sunday morning into the upper 60s to possible near 70 by the end of the week.
A few isolated showers may be possible by Thursday with a more substantial weather system allowing for higher rain chances during the Friday/Saturday time-frame.
