Acadiana's weekend will start off breezy and cool following a Friday night cool front. Highs will be closer to the mid-50s Saturday with gusty northerly winds.
Winds will die down for our Saturday night, and with crystal clear skies, lows will likely drop into the mid-30s Sunday morning with patchy frost possible.
Milder conditions are expected Sunday under sunny skies with highs in the low-mid 60s.
A fast moving cold front will approach the area Monday allowing for the risk of scattered showers and storms late in the day through Monday night.
The front will stall in the Gulf of Mexico Tuesday while more robust upper level energy arrives later in the week. A good chance of storms will be the result by Thursday with a severe weather risk possible.
The upper pattern may remain unsettled Friday into Saturday perhaps keeping a good chance of showers and storms in the region into the weekend.
