NEW ORLEANS (AP) Day 3 of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival brought a celebration of sunshine as well as the music performed at the Fair Grounds Race Course.
Children of all ages and their parents packed the stage to see the Imagination Movers, the New Orleans-based group that became widely known after their television show of the same name became a hit on the Disney Channel.
Some umbrellas were open, but after two days of downpours they were blocking the sun rather than warding off rain.
At the stage where The Levon Helm Band and The Allman Brothers Band were to perform, Gary Harris, of Houston, said he would have been there whatever the weather. He said the music trumps it all.
