GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - The Sun Herald newspaper and New Orleans television station WDSU have formed a partnership to share news and co-promote programming.
Glen Nardi, president and publisher of the Sun Herald, and Joel Vilmenay, president and general manager of WDSU, announced the agreement on Friday.
WDSU operates WDSU-South Mississippi, a zoned feed of its signal that provides news and weather to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Nardi says the Sun Herald has been evolving in recent years into a multimedia company and the partnership will help to strengthen SunHeraldTV.
Vilmenay says the partnership will benefit the wider community with more programming and advertising options for viewers and businesses.
