Summer Pattern Entrenched in Acadiana

There isn't really much else to say about the weather that hasn't been said already over the past few days.

The forecast is acting as expected and as this summer pattern continues it remains the type of forecast we could of predicted months ago.

Hot, humid, and a chance for afternoon showers, if that sounds familiar to you it's because that is generally the forecast we see each and every summer.

High pressure sitting off to our east will even limit the amount of afternoon showers we'll get this week, so going with a generous 20% chance in the afternoon.

Drier air will try and worm it's way into the area by midweek which could help a little with humidity  but in south Louisiana that's not really saying much.

Expect highs to generally change between 90 and 91 with lows that range from 72-74 degrees each night.

The dominating high pressure will suppress any activity in the tropics so rest assured it is quiet all through the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic.
