The dog days of summer are taking over the weather lab as the forecasting pattern is most definitely typical for this time of year.
Days are consistently hot and humid and even the daytime highs and lows vary by one degree, it will either be 90 or 91 for the rest of the week.
The only relief from the heat will come in the form of a pop-up shower which will be possible the next several afternoons.
Expect scattered showers to develop along the basin and along I-10 before moving in a general northerly direction.
Even those pop-up showers will struggle to get going later in the week as high pressure becomes more dominant and will limit the amount of instability.
The tropics remain quiet with no real areas of disturbance and nothing appearing on the long range models.
So for the next several days there really isn't much to do then enjoy the swampy weather and try to stay cool.
