JACKSON, La. (AP) - State police arrested a student about verbal threats against East Feliciana High School that led to the school complex's evacuation.
High school students were evacuated from the Jackson School Complex to the football stadium Wednesday and later transported to the Jackson Civic Center while officers and volunteer firefighters searched the building without finding a bomb.
Jackson Elementary School students, who share the same building, were evacuated to the adjacent Folkes Campus of Louisiana Technical College.
Trooper Jared Sandifer says detectives arrested a 17-year-old student and booked him at the East Feliciana Parish Jail on one count of terrorizing.
Sandifer says a 15-year-old boy also was questioned about alleged threats but later released to a parent or guardian.
