The principal of Alice Boucher Elementary School, one of Lafayette Parish's two F-rated schools has resigned.
Laniakia Johnson, who began leading Boucher on July 23, 2012, resigned effective June 28, 2013, according to Lafayette Parish School Board documents.
Her resignation will be presented to the board on Wednesday, but a replacement will not be named, according to documents.
The Lafayette Parish School Board's meeting on Wednesday will be packed with Superintendent Pat Cooper's evaluation, discussion about principals who work more days and thus are paid more. Johnson was one of the five principals who is paid to work 244 days.
The results of a discipline survey distributed to principals, an update on the transportation department and possible approval of the school system's new discipline plan will also be discussed.
