Showers and storms will be likely for Acadiana Monday evening has a cool front passes through the area by Tuesday morning.
High rain chances will be likely primarily between 9pm and 1am with KATC's in-house RPM FutureCast indicating that storm structures will be capable of producing brief torrential downpours and gusty winds.
Although the risk of severe should be quite low, there still is the possibility of one or two storms that may have the capability of producing damaging winds.
The storms will advance quickly through the area with sunny, breezy and seasonably cool weather anticipated Tuesday.
Yet another, and stronger storm system, will approach the area by Thursday inducing increasing clouds and a few showers, perhaps a couple of thunderstorms by late Wednesday/Wednesday night.
Thursday is looking rather stormy with a couple of inches of rain likely along with the risk of strong, possibly severe storms, per the Storm Prediction Center.
Lingering rain chances may stay through Friday with the weekend tentatively looking partly cloudy and mild with slight rain chances. The models however, have not been consistent so changes to the weekend forecast will be likely.
