Storm brings rain, power outages to NW La.

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - A thunderstorm brought much-needed rain to northwestern Louisiana but also knocked out power to thousands of home and businesses.
The SWEPCO power company reported more than 64,000 outages in Louisiana and Texas at one point Wednesday evening. That was down to 18,000 late Wednesday.
SWEPCO said crews would work around the clock but said some repairs could take 24 to 48 hours.
