Stolen truck discovered at CVS with ATM chained to bumper

On Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 3:30 a.m., the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office responded to an alarm activation at the CVS Pharmacy located at 2000 Ryan Street. Officers with the Lake Charles Police Department responded to assist. Upon arrival, Deputies and Officers observed the front doors of the business had been removed from the main structure allowing access inside.

Officers observed a 1987 Chevrolet S-10 truck in front of the business with a chain wrapped around the bumper and attached to the ATM machine inside of the store. Deputies and Officers searched the business and located no one inside.

The 1987 Chevrolet S-10 was reported stolen to the Lake Charles Police Department on Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Lake Charles Police took the lead on the burglary and the recovery of the stolen vehicle.
