Stolen Police Unit Recovered

While investigating an early morning car burglary Saturday, Lafayette police had something of their own stolen....their car.
This all happened at around 5-am on South Audubon Boulevard. While an officer was talking to the victim in that car burglary, the officer heard the police cruiser accelerate down the street.
It was found about 45 minutes later in tact, 4 miles away on Edie Ann Drive. Police are looking for a white man in his late 20's who was wearing a black hat, blue jeans and a dark colored t-shirt.
