The husband and wife accused of robbing a bank in Pine Prairie yesterday are also accused of stealing the handgun and motorcycle used in the robbery. Brian Keith Soileau and Anna Laurie Soileau are in the Evangeline Parish jail. The robbery happened just before 1:00 p.m. at Citizens Bank on Main Street. Surveillance video and witness interviews led investigators to the Soileau's home, but they weren't home. "Shortly after putting an all-points bulletin on Soileau's vehicle, Sergeant Shane Guillory (EPSO) located Soileau and the vehicle at The Y-Not Stop, south of Pine Prairie and immediately called for additional units to respond to the area, due to Soileau possibly being armed and dangerous. Both subjects were apprehended at the scene and the money stolen from the bank was recovered," Chief Deputy Richard Ortego said.
Ortego said Brian Soileau confessed to the armed robbery and admitted to breaking into a home to steal the keys to a Harley Davidson motorcycle which was used as the getaway vehicle. At this time charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
