According to Principal Richard Lavergne, St. Thomas More High School is closing due to electrical problems at the campus. The school closed today at 11 a.m.
According to Lafayette Utility System Director Terry Huval, an underground line supplying power to the school failed and will have to be replaced.
"It's a fairly long run, so it will take three or four hours to do the work," Huval said. "The school administration has been notified and is taking the appropriate action."
