Statement from Texas Gas Company Following Explosion

At approximately 1 a.m. on Friday, December 24, an incident occurred at a Texas Gas compressor station in Lafayette Parish resulting in a fire. At the time of the incident, the emergency shutdown system isolated the compressor station from the pipeline system. Company personnel worked with local responders to ensure the site was secure and to keep the area safe. There were no injuries. At this time, the cause of the incident is being investigated.
