Mickey Shunick's family and friends remain hopeful she is alive despite Brandon Lavergne's first degree murder and aggravated kidnapping charges. "All we want is Mickey back. All we care about is finding out what happened and getting our girl back," the family said in a released statement to media. They said they're holding up fine and staying positive, and that the chances of Mickey being alive today are the same as they were yesterday. "Our goal is the same as since May 19 - find Mickey and bring her home," said Mickey's mother, Nancy.
In the statement, family thanked everyone for "everything you have done for our family, friends and extended families." They said they wouldn't be where they are today without support. The family has requested their privacy "in this emotionally turbulent time."
