State Representative Bobby Badon Apologizes After OWI Citation

UPDATE: State Representative Bobby Badon issued a written apology after he was cited with OWI Monday night.

Statement from Bobby Badon:

I apologize for my actions of January 18,2010 which resulted in my arrest for a misdemeanor charge, driving while under the influence. I excerised poor judgment and drove my vehicle after consuming alcohol.

I will neither seek noe expect any favorable treatment as a result of my arrest.

I will work with diligence to put this unfortunate incident behind me so that I can continue to serve the interests of my district.

According to Louisiana State Police, State Representative Bobby Badon was arrested in Carencro during the evening hours of Monday, January 18, 2010.

He was subject to a field sobriety test and it was determined that his blood alcohol level was .125.

Badon was taken into custody and then released because of a lack of available room in holding cells.

He was charged with First Offense OWI Misdemeanor Summons.
