State Police Arrest 12 for Drug Trafficking

GREENSBURG, La. (AP) - A three-month investigation into
narcotics trafficking in St. Helena Parish has resulted in the arrest of 12 men on a variety of drug charges.
In a Thursday news release, state police said that working with the St. Helena Parish Sheriff's Office narcotics unit they began an
investigation in October.
Investigators targeted people with a history of drug violations in the parish. During the probe, using extensive surveillance and undercover operations, investigators observed numerous drug transactions resulting in the arrests.
The suspects face charges ranging from distribution of crack cocaine to possession with intent to distribute marijuana or crack cocaine.
