Starks native accused of aggravated incest

A former Starks resident is accused of having  inappropriate sexual contact with a child.

In September 2012, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office received a complaint from the Department of Child and Family Services regarding Clarence E. Sanderson, 74, of Lufkin, Texas, formerly of Starks.  The compliant accuses Sanderson of having inappropriate sexual contact with a 7 year old family member on numerous occasions in 2012. Sanderson lived in Starks at the time of the incidents.

An arrest warrant was issued for Sanderson on January 30 and on February 16 he was arrested and booked into the Lufkin City Jail by Lufkin City Police Department.

Sanderson is currently awaiting extradition to Calcasieu Parish where he will be booked into Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 5 counts of aggravated incest.

Judge David Ritchie has set his bond at $1,500,000.

CPSO Detective Mike Primeaux is the lead investigator on this case.
