Stalled Road Construction Project to Continue

A road and bridge construction project in St. Martin Parish that has been stalled for several months will soon begin again. The State Department of Transportation and Development says the LA 686 project between Cecilia and Arnaudville came to a halt after the original contractor backed out of the project. DOTD recently secured a new contractor, and they say work will resume in the next week. Construction is now expected to be completed this summer.
