COVINGTON, La. (AP) - A St. Tammany Parish man stabbed his wife and two children Sunday then died in a highway crash that injured two other people, authorities said. Daryl Horne, 47, stabbed his wife, a 17-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son after returning to his Covington area home from a
casino and then fled, St. Tammany sheriff's spokesman Capt. George Bonnett told The Times Picayune. State Police said Horne's SUV struck an 18-wheeler and ran off Interstate 12 about 5 a.m. Trooper Nick Manale said Horne got out and walked into traffic, where he was struck and killed by a car driven by Brenda Arseneau, 43, of Verbena, Ala. Arseneau and passenger Loaeza Salomon, 42, of Houston were hospitalized, Manale said. Horne's family members suffered serious injuries, Bonnette said.
