St. Mary Sheriff's Arrest Report: November 9, 2009

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 72 hours the Sheriff's Office responded to 81 complaints and reports the following arrests for November 9, 2009:


Vickie M. Martin 53 yoa of Prairie Road North, Centerville and Larry Leblanc 57 yoa of Heide Circle, Lafayette, La. were arrested on 11-6-2009 at 9:09 pm for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Cocaine Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Deputy received information of drug activity at above location and went to residence to conduct an investigation. Upon Deputy's arrival contact was made with above suspects in the residence. Upon Deputy entering the residence an odor of burnt marijuana was observed in the residence. Deputy received consent to search the residence and located pill bottles containing loose marijuana in the bedroom. Upon further searching additional marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cocaine were located in the residence. After investigation above suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with $8000.00 bonds and were later released.

Laura M. Melancon 44 yoa of Cypress St., Baldwin and Kimberly Clark 42 yoa of Hebert St., Franklin were arrested on 11-6-2009 at 11:18 pm for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting. Deputy was called to Candy's Lounge in Franklin in reference to a fight. Upon Deputy's arrival it was learned that the two suspects were involved in a fight. After investigation suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond and were later released.

Sarah D. Rogers 23 yoa of Hill Court, HoumaLa. was arrested on 11-7-2009 at 12:44 am for Speeding, Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence of a Minor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Open Alcoholic Container. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Patterson area, when he conducted a traffic stop on suspect vehicle for speeding. Upon making contact with driver an investigation was conducted with Deputy receiving consent to search. Upon Deputy beginning his search he was advised by suspect that she had marijuana in her purse. Upon Deputy searching suspect's purse a bag of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located. Deputy also located an open alcoholic container in the vehicle. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $6000.00 bond and was later released.

Henry J. Hayes 31 yoa of Avis Ave., Baton Rouge, La. and Ashly Johnson 31 yoa of Jade Ave., Baton Rouge, La. were arrested on 11-7-2009 at 6:18 am with Hayes being charged with Speeding, Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Possession of MDS and Open Alcoholic Container, Johnson was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of MDS. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Berwick area, when he conducted a traffic stop on above suspect vehicle for speeding. Upon Deputy conducting investigation consent to search vehicle was given. Upon Deputy removing Johnson a passenger in the vehicle it was learned that she was given plastic bag with marijuana and two pills to hold by Hayes. Also during investigation Deputy located an open alcoholic container in the vehicle. After investigation both suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with Hayes having a $5300.00 bond and Johnson having a $7500.00 bond, both were later released.

Ashley R. Darby 20 yoa of Lucy Lane, Centerville was arrested on 11-7-2009 at 12:29 pm for Possession of Loritab. Deputy was investigating a shooting incident, when suspect vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted on Hwy 182 in the Franklin area. Upon Deputy making contact with above suspect and conducted an investigation, consent to search suspect vehicle was given with Deputy located two halves of Loritabs in a tin in above suspect's purse. After investigation above suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Richard A. Labit 43 yoa of Lucy Lane, Centerville was arrested on 11-7-2009 at 12:58 pm on a warrant for two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder and Assault by Drive by Shooting. Deputies were investigating a shooting incident that was reported on 11-7-2009 at 7:00 am that occurred on Martin Road in the Verdunville area. During investigation complainants advised that they were traveling down Martin Road when suspect got behind him and started driving erratic behind them. Complainant advised that suspect then put a rifle out the window firing a shot hitting the back window of the truck. Complainants then fled the scene contacting the Sheriff's Office. After investigation a warrant was received for suspect's arrest. Deputy located suspect's vehicle on Hwy 182 in the Franklin area and conducted a traffic stop. Suspect was located and placed under arrest on warrant. During investigation it was learned that suspect had brought two guns to his son's residence on Katy Bridge Road in Franklin, guns were later retrieved for evidence. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

William C. Closson 25 yoa of Cleco Lane, Patterson was arrested on 11-7-2009 at 7:45 pm for Disturbing the Peace, Criminal Trespass, Public Intimidation and a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Parking in a Fire Lane. Deputy was called to Parish Road in Centerville in reference to a disturbance. Upon Deputy's arrival it was learned that above suspect had attempted to gain entry into the residence but had left the scene. After investigation Deputy stood by the area, and observed a vehicle pull into a neighbor's driveway. While observing the area, a call was received advising suspect had returned. Deputy located suspect hiding in the bushes and ordered him out. Suspect began yelling and causing a disturbance. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

William K. Rowell Jr. 21 yoa of Federal Ave., Morgan City was arrested on 11-8-2009 at 12:30 am for DWI, Careless Operation and Open Alcoholic Container. Deputy was called to Zenor Road and Hwy 182 in reference to a vehicle hitting a Pole. Upon Deputy's arrival suspect vehicle was located resting against the house at above location. Upon Deputy making contact with suspect an odor of alcoholic beverage was observed upon his person. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Berwick Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect had a test result of .096g%. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with a $15,000.00 bond at this time.

Monika M. Reddick 26 yoa of Columbia Ave., Jackson, Mississippi was arrested on 11-8-2009 at 1:40 am on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of Issuing Worthless Checks. Deputy was investigating an incident on Hwy 90 Frontage Road in Franklin, when it was learned of a warrant for above suspect's arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $5000.00 bond at this time.

Dwight P. Blackburn 30 yoa of Prairie Road, Centerville was arrested on 11-8-2009 at 1:45 am for Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information, Driving Under Suspension and warrants for Failure to Appear on the charges of Driving Under Suspension and Seat Belt Violation, Failure to Appear on the charge of Issuing Worthless Checks and a Failure to Appear warrant for Terrebonne Parish for Issuing Worthless Checks. Deputy was investigating an incident on Hwy 90 Frontage road when above suspect arrived at scene to pick up a child. Upon Deputy conducting an investigation with suspect he gave Deputy a false name. After further investigation it was learned of suspect's identity and that he had warrants for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest on above charges and booked into the parish jail with a $16,000.00 bond and was later released.

Tony D. Teague 41 yoa of Sebby's Lane, Bayou Vista was arrested on 11-8-2009 at 2:24 pm for Simple Battery and Disturbing the Peace. Deputy was called to above location in reference to a disturbance. Upon Deputy's arrival it was learned from complainant that she went to above location to retrieve some belongings when above suspect began yelling at her and then pushed her down causing her to fall. While conducting investigation suspect made contact with Deputy and was advised that he would meet him at the Morgan City sheriff's office. Deputy conducted investigation with suspect at the Morgan City Sheriff's Office and after investigation he was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond and was later released.

William Luedke 34 yoa of 2200 Sutherland Court, Gevena, Florida was arrested on 11-8-2009 at 3:44 pm on a warrant for Lafayette Parish for Failure to Appear on the charges of DWI 3rd and Improper Lane Usage. Deputy was patrolling the Berwick area, when he located above suspect and a warrants check was made with suspect being placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $20,172.00 bond at this time.

Kenneth Burgess 54 yoa of Martin Luther King Road, Charenton was arrested on 11-8-2009 at 9:01 pm for Simple Battery. Deputy was called to above location in reference a disturbance. Upon Deputy's arrival it was learned from complainant that above suspect was causing a disturbance. While Deputy was conducting investigation with both parties suspect lunged a complainant committing a battery upon her. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $500.00 bond at this time.

Bill J. Scully 36 yoa of Moffit Court, Morgan City was arrested on 11-9-2009 at 1:00 am for DWI 2nd, Speeding,
Improper Lane Usage and Driving Under Suspension. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 182 in the Amelia area, when he observed suspect vehicle speeding and traveling in the westbound lane when Deputy had to take shoulder to avoid crash. Traffic stop was conducted and upon Deputy making contact with suspect an odor of alcoholic beverage was observed upon his person. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect had a test result of .207g%. Suspect was booked into the parish jail on above charges with no bond at this time.
