St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Press Release

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 96 hours the Sheriff's Office responded to 141 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Jeremy Dardar 22 yoa of 2358 B Hwy 665, Montegut, La. was arrested on 5-25-2012 at 9:36 am on warrants for Houma Police Department for Aggravated Burglary and Terrebonne Parish for Failure to Appear on the charge of Theft. The deputies were called to Berwick Boat Landing in reference to United States Customs Agents locating the above suspect. The suspect was placed under arrest on warrants, and booked into the parish jail. He was later transferred to Terrebonne Parish Jail.

Shannon M. Cook 23 yoa of 78 Choctaw St., Charenton was arrested on 5-25-2012 at 11:23 pm for Theft by Shoplifting. A deputy was called to Wal-mart in Bayou Vista in reference to a shoplifter. Upon the deputy's arrival, the store security advised the deputy that the suspect was observed taking cosmetics valued at $319.65 and concealing them in her purse. After an investigation the suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 8-17-2012.

Priscilla H. Lovell 35 yoa of 137 Raine Court, Morgan City and Frank Samson 23 yoa of 1018 Vicnair Road, St. Martinsville, La. were arrested on 5-26-2012 at 1:16 am with Lovell being arrested for DWI 3rd Offense and Reckless Operation of a Vehicle and Samson being arrested for Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated. A deputy was called to Hwy 182, in Amelia, in reference to a vehicle going into Bayou Ramos. Upon the deputy's arrival, Lovell was located and it was learned that she was leaving the club when she drove into the Bayou. Upon the deputy making contact with Lovell, a strong odor of alcoholic beverage was observed her. After an investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Berwick Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. The suspect refused to take test and was booked into the parish jail with no bond. During the investigation it was learned that another suspect was in the vehicle and appeared to go back into Temptation Lounge. The deputy located Samson and removed him from the location. While the deputy attempted to conduct the investigation about the incident, the suspect began yelling and causing a disturbance. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond, and was later released.

Katie Breaux 26 yoa of 158 Polaris St., Bayou Vista was arrested on 5-26-2012 at 9:51 am on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. The suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 8-17-2012.

Verelyn B. Cannon 53 yoa of 1017 Ciro St., Morgan City was arrested on 5-26-2012 at 10:23 am on warrants for Simple Battery of the Infirm and two Failure to Appear warrants for Criminal Neglect of Family. Theuspect was located on Joseph St. in Siracusaville, placed under arrest on warrants and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Jada Aloisio 42 yoa of 606 Onstead St.,. Morgan City was arrested on 5-26-2012 at 11:58 am on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. The suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 8-17-2012.

Jonathon P. Landry 24 yoa of 184 South Vivian St., Morgan City was arrested on 5-27-2012 for Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated and Open Alcoholic Container. A deputy was called to Sandi's Lounge in Amelia in reference to a possible theft. Upon the deputy's arrival, several subjects were located in the parking lot but no one advised of a theft complaint. Upon speaking with the bar owner about the incident it was advised to clear the parking lot. The deputy was clearing the parking lot and advised suspectthe to get rid of his alcoholic beverage and leave the area. The suspect refused to leave and was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $500.00 bond and was later released.

Charles Parker 22 yoa of 1222 Georgia St., Sulpher, La. and Korianne M. Parker 23 yoa of 308 Carol Road, Bayou Vista were arrested on 5-27-2012 at 8:24 am for Domestic Abuse Battery. Deputy was called to 308 Carol Road
in Bayou Vista in reference to a Domestic Disturbance. Upon the deputy's arrival it was learned from both suspects that they were involved in an argument that ensued into each of the suspects committing batteries upon each other. After an investigation both suspects were placed under arrest, and booked into the parish jail with no bonds at this time.

Robert J. McCafferty 22 yoa of 1400 Canal Road, Bayou Vista was arrested on 5-27-2012 at 12:47 pm for Disturbing the Peace, Simple Assault, Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information and warrants for Failure to Appear on the charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Alcoholic Beverage by a Minor and Failure to Appear on the charge of Possession of Marijuana. A deputy was called to 1417 Canal Road
in Bayou Vista in reference to a disturbance. Upon the deputy's arrivalm a complainant advised that he was standing outside the washateria, when the suspect began yelling at him and making threats towards him. The victim advised he went into the washateria and contacted the Sheriff's Office. The deputy made contact with the suspect who gave the deputy a false name while he was conducting investigation. After the investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Crystal Hart 27 yoa of 221 Jones St. Apt. # 14, Berwick was arrested on 5-27-2012 at 4:02 pm for Theft by Shoplifting. Deputy was called to Wal-mart in Bayou Vista in reference a shoplifter. Upon the deputy's arrival, store security advised them that the above suspect was observed taking items valued at $36.19 and conceal them in her purse. After an investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 8-17-2012.

Martin A. Pinseau 56 yoa of 800 Bollinger Lane, Amelia was arrested on 5-28-2012 at 2:40 am for Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated. A deputy was called to Circle K in Amelia in reference to suspect causing a disturbance. Upon the deputy's arrival the suspect was located sleeping in a vehicle parked in the parking lot. the complainant advised the deputy that the suspect entered the store on several occasions harassing her. After an investigation the suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond at this time.

Jeremy K. Nichols 28 yoa of 582 Ben Dunn Road, Lufkin, Texas was arrested on 5-28-2012 at 12:59 pm for Theft by Shoplifting. A deputy was called to Wal-mart in Bayou Vista in reference a shoplifter. Upon the deputy's arrival it was learned from store security that suspect had taken two DVD's valued at $39.32 and concealed them on him. After an investigation the suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 8-17-2012.

Kendrick T. Edmond 20 yoa of 111 School House Lane, Charenton, Kelly Thomas 18 yoa and Kerdern Martin 25 yoa both of 146 Picket St., Charenton were arrested on 5-28-2012 7:35 pm with Edmond being charged with Disturbing the Peace, Interfering with a Law Enforcement Investigation and Threatening a Public Official, Thomas being charged with Disturbing the Peace and Aggravated Assault and Martin being charged with Domestic Abuse, Resisting an Officer with Force and Simple Criminal Damage to Property. A deputy was called to Martin Luther Kind Road in Charenton in reference a domestic disturbance. Upon the deputy's arrival it was learned from the complainant that she and Martin were arguing when he grabbed her by the throat and threw her out of the residence. The complainant advised the deputy that she picked up a rake and attempted to hit suspect but missed, she then left the residence. The deputy attempted to detain suspect in reference to the investigation, but he refused to cooperate and began resisting the deputy. While the deputy was conducting the investigation, Edmond was causing a disturbance and refusing to move on so investigation could be conducted. Edmond began threatening deputies and refusing to cooperate and was placed under arrest. After the investigation the above suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with Martin and Edmond having no bond at this time and Thomas having a $1250.00 bond at this time.

Florence T. Charpentier 54 yoa of 917 Middle Road, Bayou Vista was arrested on 5-28-2012 at 10:21 pm for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A deputy was patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when he conducted an investigative stop on suspect at Saturn and Uranus St.
During the investigation it was learned that suspect had drug paraphernalia in her purse. After the investigation the suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 8-17-2012.
