St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Press Release

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff's Office responded to 33 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Phillip Donati 58 yoa of 162 Hwy 1012, Napoleonville, La., was arrested on 4-4-2012 at 1:33 pm for Hit and Run. Deputy was called to Wal-mart parking lot in reference to a hit and run accident. Upon Deputy's arrival complainant advised that suspect vehicle backed into her vehicle and left the scene. Deputy was contacted by Assumption Parish reference to locating suspect vehicle on Hwy 398 in Bayou L'Ourse. Deputy went to location and conducted an investigation with suspect. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 7-11-2012.

Deidre L. Martin 39 yoa of 724 Prairie Road, Verdunville was arrested on 4-4-2012 at 4:16 pm for Theft, Resisting an Officer by Flight and warrants for Simple Burglary, Theft and Failure to Appear on the charge of Simple Criminal Damage to Property. Deputy was investigating a theft complaint when above suspect was developed. Deputy received information of suspect being at 106 Palmer Lane, Deputies went to location and upon entering the residence suspect fled on foot from back door of residence with Deputy giving chase. Suspect was apprehended and placed under arrest on above charges and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Thomas Streetman 22 yoa, Jacob Hanks 22 yoa of 3522 Hwy 182, Berwick and Eric Leleaux 19 yoa of 337 Fourth St., Berwick were arrested on 4-4-2012 at 10:07 pm for Simple Burglary. Deputy was patrolling Siracusa Road, when he observed suspect vehicle parked in front of 1139 Siracusa Road and conducted an investigative stop. During investigation Deputy located suspects sitting in vehicle and observed several items of iron in the rear of the truck. Upon further investigation it was learned that these items were taken from the yard at the location. After investigation suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bonds at this time.
