St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

ccording to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 30 complaints and reports the following arrests:


Barry P. Gilmore, 53, no address given, was arrested on April 10, 2014 at 9:35 am on a warrant for simple robbery. Gilmore was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set. For additional information on this arrest, please see the previous releases from our office.

Robert Carter, Jr., 54, 153 North 17th Street, Baton Rouge, LA was arrested on April 10, 2014 at 10:24 am on a warrant for obtaining a prescription by fraud. On March 28, 2014, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division received a report of a fraudulent prescription from a local pharmacy. During the course of the investigation, narcotics detectives determined that a prescription that Carter was attempting to have filled at the pharmacy was forged. A deputy transported Carter from the East Baton Rouge Correctional Facility to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for incarceration.

Curtis Williams, 56, 153 North 17th Street, Baton Rouge, LA was arrested on April 10, 2014 at 10:24 am on a warrant for obtaining a prescription by fraud. On March 27, 2014, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division received a report of a fraudulent prescription from a local pharmacy. During the course of the investigation, narcotics detectives determined that a prescription that Williams was attempting to have filled at the pharmacy was forged. A deputy transported Carter from the East Baton Rouge Correctional Facility to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for incarceration.

Donald Lahoste, 48, 1129 Federal Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 10, 2014 at 11:03 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving while intoxicated and no turn signal. A deputy investigating a two vehicle crash on Highway 182 in Amelia made contact with Lahoste who was driving one of the vehicles. The deputy discovered that Lahoste was wanted on the active warrant. Lahoste was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Philippian Lewis, 26, 205 Jones Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on April 10, 2014 at 4:58 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Lewis was seen taking items from the shelves and concealing them in her purse. Lewis then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. She was released on a summons to appear in court on July 11, 2014.
