St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 101 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Kristy Walker, 32, 250 Muriel Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 28, 2014 at 8:41 am for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Walker, a store employee, was seen taking items from the store without paying the goods. Walker was released on a summons to appear in court on May 22, 2014.


Matthew C. Adams, 19, 2602 Lake Palourde Road Lot #10, Amelia, LA was arrested on February 28, 2014 at 9:04 am on a warrant for felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint received on February 10, 2014. During the course of the investigation, the detective assigned to the case discovered that Adams had sexual intercourse with a 15 year old female juvenile at a residence in Amelia. Adams was located at his residence on Lake Palourde Road on the warrant. He was released on a $2,500 bond.

Andrea Baldridge, 28, 3028 Keith Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 28, 2014 at 4:04 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of criminal trespass and domestic abuse battery. Baldridge turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. She was released on a recognizance bond.


Dillon Howard, 20, 3761 Fifth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on February 28, 2014 at 12:13 am for driving with no tail lights and driving while intoxicated. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area saw a vehicle with no lights on travel to the right of the roadway nearly striking a driveway on Arlington Street. The deputy initiated a traffic stop. While following the vehicle, the deputy also observed the driver swerving towards the curb of the street and crossing the centerline. Upon stopping the vehicle near Middle Road, the deputy made contact with the driver, Howard, and smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. The deputy also heard Howard slurring his words as he spoke and observed him swaying as he stood. Howard performed poorly on the field sobriety test. He later registered a 0.131g% on the Intoxilyzor 5000 breath test. Howard was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Howard was released on a $1,750 bond.

Brian Delaune, Jr., 28, 3911 Mount Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on March 1, 2014 at 4:10 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store security that Delaune was seen using bar codes from cheaper items to purchase more expensive goods. The deputy located Delaune at his residence. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Tristen James, 29, 1911 College Road #9, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on March 1, 2014 at 3:32 pm for public intimidation, disturbing the peace, resisting an officer, off road vehicles on a public roadway, and improper lane usage. A deputy patrolling the Cypremort Point area post Mardi Gras parade observed an off road vehicle driving on the roadway on Highway 319. Upon stopping the ATV, the deputy made contact with the driver, identified as James. During the course of the stop, James refused to comply with the deputies requests to remove the ATV from the roadway and began yelling at the deputy. The deputy heard James slurring as he spoke and smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. James was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. James was released on a $2,600 bond.

Clarence L. Fisher, Jr., 42, 180 Georgetown Road, Glencoe, LA was arrested on March 2, 2014 at 9:06 am for reckless operation of a vehicle and resisting an officer. A deputy travelling on Highway 83 observed a vehicle travelling at 81 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Fisher, and issued a citation for speeding. Upon completion of the traffic stop, Fisher quickly accelerated to a speed above the posted limit. The deputy initiated a second traffic stop. Fisher, travelling at a high rate of speed, failed to stop for several miles until reaching his residence. The deputy made contact with Fisher who during the course of the second traffic stop, stated to the deputy that, "this is a rural area and he doesn't see why he has to do the speed limit." Fisher was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $2,000 bond.

Jason Alfred, 36, 400 Vining Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 2, 2014 at 1:03 pm for simple battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Vining Lane. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Alfred and a female subject were involved in an argument when Alfred struck the female victim in the back of the head with his fist. The female was transported to a local hospital where she was treated and released. Alfred was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Alfred was released on a $500 bond.

Dex Clements, 27, 2045 River Road Lot #1, Berwick, LA was arrested on March 2, 2014 at 4:39 pm on three warrants for violation of a protective order, possession of a schedule II drug, and failure to appear on the charges of domestic abuse batter and violation of a protective order. A deputy was contacted by Morgan City Police who detained Clements on the warrants for St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Clements was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.Leroy J. Bailey, 28, 223 Belanger Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 2, 2014 at 4:57 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. While en route, the deputy received information that a subject who may be involved in the crime was running across the parking lot. The deputy located and detained the subject who was identified as Bailey. Bailey was identified by store personnel as the subject who opened a package in the store and attempted to conceal an item on his person. Bailey was released on a summons to appear in court on May 22, 2014.

Miranda Topham, 32, 1311 Saturn Road Lot #1, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 2, 2014 at 6:01 pm for simple battery and disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Saturn Road. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Topham and male subject were involved in an argument when Topham threw a cup at the male victim striking him in the face. Topham was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $750 bond.
