According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 45 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Justin Carpenter, 31, 1505 Cross Road #2, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 3, 2013 at 12:22 pm for cruelty to animals, a violation of a parish ordinance. A deputy responding to a report of animal cruelty located a dog tied to a tree in a manner preventing the animal from getting to food or shelter. The deputy also observed that the dog appeared sickly. The deputy learned that the animal belonged to Carpenter. Animal control was contacted to pick up the dog. Carpenter was released on a summons to appear in court on March 26, 2014.
Destanie Daigle, 23, 420 Duke Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 3, 2013 at 6:46 pm on a warrant from Morgan City Police for possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy received information regarding Daigle's whereabouts and located her at a business on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. Daigle was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $1,500 bond.
Ryan W. Lodrigue, 20, 116 Riverview Road, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 3, 2013 at 7:30 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. Lodrigue turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville after learning of the warrant for his arrest. He was released on a $750 bond.
