According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 25 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Patrick Patterson, 41, 111 Pecan Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 26, 2013 at 9:01 am for second degree battery, driving while intoxicated, open alcoholic container, and expired driver's license. Investigating a report from Teche Regional Medical Center of a battery, a deputy located the suspect in the crime as he drove into a trailer park on Pecan Lane. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Patterson, and smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. While speaking with Patterson, the deputy saw a drinking glass inside the vehicle. The deputy retrieved the glass that also had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Patterson performed poorly on the field sobriety test and later registered a 0.099g% blood alcohol concentration on the breath test. During the course of the investigation, the deputy additionally learned that Patterson intentionally slammed a female victim's fingers in a door earlier that morning. Patterson also made threats on the victim's life. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration.
Timothy B. Pruett, 28, 302 Carol Road Apt. #9, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 26, 2013 at 3:09 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of stop sign violation, operating a vehicle with no insurance, and expired motor vehicle inspection. A deputy conducting a traffic stop on Anthony Street in Bayou Vista made contact with the driver, identified as Pruett, and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. Pruett was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $5,000.
Debra Glenn, 37, Plantation Apartments #113, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 26, 2013 at 3:45 pm on two warrants for issuing worthless checks. A deputy made contact with Glenn at a residence on Jupiter Street. Glenn was released on a summons to appear in court on January 31, 2013.
Joie A. Adams, 32, 300 Main Street Apt. #4, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 26, 2013 at 7:04 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Adams was seen concealing an item of make-up under her purse before leaving the store without paying for the item. Adams was released on a summons to appear in court on January 31, 2013.
Garry Shene, Jr., 45, 147 James Drive, Albany, GA was arrested on November 26, 2013 at 7:36 pm for simple criminal damage to property, simple battery, and disturbing the peace intoxicated. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in progress at a motel in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, deputies located Shene inside a motel room threatening two male victims. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Shene and two men had been involved in an argument earlier in the evening that escalated into a physical encounter when Shene began pushing them. Shene left the room, but returned a short time later kicking the door open, grabbing one of the male victims by the throat, and threatening him. Following a brief altercation, Shene left the room a second time. He then returned a short time later continuing the threats against the two male victims. Deputies matched Shene's boot to the imprint on the motel room door. Shene was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
