St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 100 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Clayton E. Holland, 34, 210 Francis Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on November 22, 2013 at 1:06 pm for violation of a protective order. A deputy responded to a report of a subject violating a protective order. While investigating the complaint, the deputy learned that Holland had contacted the victim repeatedly via social network. Holland was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Juvenile male, 15, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on November 22, 2013 at 1:57 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana). A deputy responded to a complaint of a juvenile who had illegal drugs at his residence. The deputy located the marijuana inside a wallet in the juvenile's possession. The juvenile was released to the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Juvenile female, 16, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 22, 2013 at 10:17 pm for simple battery. A deputy witnessed the juvenile start a physical altercation with a female victim, hitting the victim several times. Following an investigation, the 16 year old was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Leo G. Vaughn, 36, 126 Natalie Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 22, 2013 at 1:05 am on the following charges:
Domestic abuse battery, second degree
Domestic abuse battery
Simple battery
Disturbing the peace (intoxication)
A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in progress at a residence on Natalie Lane. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned from witnesses that Vaughn attacked a female victim during a verbal argument, knocking her to the floor and hitting her in the face repeatedly with his fists. As another female attempted to intervene, Vaughn struck her on the side of the head. In defense of the two female victims, a male subject at the residence began stabbing Vaughn with a pocket knife until Vaughn stopped hitting the female victim that had been pushed to the floor. At that point in the disturbance, Vaughn exited the residence. One of the female victims then locked the door until deputies arrived. The other female victim sustained fractures to her face and head. She and Vaughn were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Upon release, Vaughn was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set. Danny Beatley, 46, 100 Myrtle Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 22, 2013 at 10:46 pm for simple battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a battery at a residence on Myrtle Street. During the investigation, the deputy learned that Beatley pushed a female victim during an argument. Beatley was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was later released on a $500 bond.

Sherry Ohmer, 49, 100 Myrtle Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 22, 2013 at 10:48 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of Schedule I, possession of drug paraphernalia, and abuse of toxic vapors. A deputy responding to a complaint of a battery made contact with Ohmer and learned of the active warrant for her arrest. Ohmer was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $5,000.

Scott Faulk, 43, 164 Mercury Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 22, 2013 at 11:34 pm for reckless operation of a motor vehicle. A deputy responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving recklessly on US Highway 90 near LA 317. While en route, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office received additional calls about a reckless driver. Each caller gave similar descriptions of the suspect vehicle. The deputy located the vehicle and observed the driver swerving from lane to lane. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Faulk. Following an investigation, Faulk was released on a summons to appear in court on January 31, 2014.

Tony E. Johnson, 45, 1002 A Avenue, Lafayette, LA was arrested on November 23, 2013 at 7:15 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Johnson was arrested on the warrant after being transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from Baldwin Police Department for housing. No bond is set.

Angela Weber, 46, 809 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 23, 2013 at 3:05 pm for misuse of 911. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at the above listed residence. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Weber and smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and person. Weber stated that there had been no disturbance and that she accidentally dialed 9-1-1. Approximately an hour later, a deputy responded to a second 9-1-1 call from the residence. Upon speaking with Weber a second time, she claimed that she had not called 9-1-1 then later admitted to the deputy that she had dialed the emergency number. Weber was released on a summons to appear in court on January 31, 2013.

Areana Candanedo, 23, 402 Halsey Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 23, 2013 at 5:06 pm on warrants for the following charges:
Failure to appear on charges of no child restraint, no license plate, and operating a vehicle without a driver's license
Failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks
Failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks
Issuing worthless checks
While responding to a complaint in Bayou Vista, a deputy made contact with Candanedo and learned of the multiple warrants for her arrest. Candanedo was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Ronnie L. Jones, 25, 422 Neptune Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 23, 2013 at 11:05 pm for probation violation and on a warrant for failure to appear on traffic related charges. Jones was transferred from another jurisdiction to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the charges. No bond is set.

Ashton Allen, 22, 477 Ehrlich Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on November 24, 2013 at 11:31 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving under suspension. A deputy came into contact with Allen and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Allen was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Nathan Adams, 17, 1602 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on November 24, 2013 at 10:10 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Adams was seen concealing several items on his person before attempting to leave the store without paying for the goods. Adams was released on a summons to appear in court on January 31, 2013.
