St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Olvier Tyler, 23, 6213 Ozenne Road, New Iberia, LA was arrested on November 14, 2013 at 8:52 am for reckless operation of a vehicle and no driver's license on person. A deputy patrolling the Highway 317 area recorded by radar a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and conducted a traffic stop in the Burns Point area. The deputy made contact with the driver, who was identified as Tyler. Following the traffic stop investigation, Tyler was released on a summons to appear in court on January 31, 2013.

Barbara L. Fraley, 48, 1232 Delmar Avenue, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 14, 2013 at 2:51 pm for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Fraley was seen leaving the store with unpaid for merchandise. Fraley was released on a summons to appear in court on January 31, 2013.

Billy R. Bentley, 50, 2748 Sixth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on November 14, 2013 at 2:51 pm on a warrant for felony forgery and monetary instrument abuse. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office was contacted by Berwick Police who advised that Bentley had been detained on the warrants. The warrant stems from an investigation into a missing check that was forged and cashed on a closed bank account at a business in Amelia. Bentley was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Breanne Bogan, 17, 320 Charlotte Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 14, 2013 at 7:53 pm for theft of goods.

Dewayna Jones, 17, 1512 Plum Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 14, 2013 at 7:53 pm for theft of goods.

Lakesha Renee Griffin, 18, 508 Taft Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 14, 2013 at 7:53 pm for theft of goods.

A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Bogan, Jones, and Griffin were seen taking food items, consuming them, and leaving the packaging on the shelves. The three subjects were released on summonses to appear in court on January 31, 2013.
