According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Brett A. Rome, 21, 411 Tiffany Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 5, 2013 at 2:19 pm for theft of goods.
Agatha M. McCleary, 21, 411 Tiffany Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 5, 2013 at 2:19 pm for theft of goods.
A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from a store employee that Rome and McCleary were seen placing items in a diaper bag and then leaving the store without paying for the goods. Rome and McCleary were released on summonses to appear in court on January 31, 2014.
Damon Cedric, 35, 477 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA was arrested on October 5, 2013 at 2:42 pm for violating the parish littering ordinance. A deputy responded to a report of a subject littering in the Charenton Beach Road area. Using the information provided by witnesses, the deputy located the subject and identified him as Cedric. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Cedric dumped appliances, clothing, and trash into a canal off of Charenton Levee Road. The deputy escorted Cedric back to the dumping site to remove the items. Cedric was released on a summons to appear in court on January 31, 2014.
Frank J. Roberts, Sr., 46, 109 Amhurst Drive, Maurice, LA was arrested on November 5, 2013 at 2:45 pm on a warrant for monetary instrument abuse. Roberts was transported from the Terrebonne Parish Jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. The warrant stems from a 2010 investigation into the use of over 3 dozen counterfeit twenty dollar bills at a store in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the detective used surveillance video to identify Roberts as the perpetrator and learned that Roberts was a suspect in several other incidents in nearby parishes involving counterfeit twenties. Roberts was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Christopher C. Adams, 39, 2621 Sixth Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 5, 2013 at 3:04 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family. Adams was transported to St. Mary LEC from Assumption Parish where he was taken into custody on the warrants. Bond is set at $16, 088.57.
Rene Williams, 27, 214 St. Charles Bypass Road, Thibodaux, LA was arrested on November 5, 2013 at 3:31 pm on two warrants for theft of goods and failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. She was transported to St. Mary LEC from Lafourche Parish Jail on the warrants. No bond is set.
