According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 49 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Byron Williams, 36, 465 Verdun Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on November 4, 2013 at 8:29 pm for aggravated assault, telephone harassment, and remaining where forbidden. A deputy responded to a report of stalking at a residence in the Centerville area. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Williams and a female victim were involved in an argument when Williams attempted to run her over with a vehicle. The deputy also listened to threatening voice messages and text messages left by Williams on the victim's phone. Williams was located at his residence. Following the investigation, he was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Angel Alavez, 50, no address given, was arrested on October 4, 2013 at 8:50 pm for disturbing the peace and unlawful possession of fraudulent documents. A deputy responded to a request to remove a subject from a bar located on Highway 182 in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the subject identified as Alavez. During the course of the investigation, Alavez provided the deputy with a fraudulent social security card. Alavez was also found to be in possession of an assortment of ID cards containing his picture but bearing different names. Alavez was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Timothy Kirt Parker, 57, 228 Easy Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 4, 2013 at 11:05 pm on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of issuing worthless checks, no driver's license, and no child restraint. Parker was surrendered at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center by a bondsman on the warrants. No bond is set.
