St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 117 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Marvin Young, Sr., 70, 1316 James Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 27, 2013 at 11:14 am for simple battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a business on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Young struck a male victim with his hand. Young was released on a summons to appear in court on December 11, 2013.

Karen Vincent, 53, 8320 Highway 182 Centerville, LA was arrested on September 27, 2013 at 10:34 am on a warrant from Franklin Police for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and driving without a license. A deputy located Vincent at her residence on the warrant. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $325.00 bond.

Jason P. Giroir, 35, 316 Cedar Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 27, 2013 at 6:06 pm for driving while intoxicated, careless operation of a motor vehicle, and no vehicle insurance. A deputy responded to a single vehicle crash on Irish Bend Road in the Franklin area. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Giroir. The deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and conducted a field sobriety test. Giroir performed poorly on the field sobriety test and later registered a 0.172g% on the Intoxilyzer 5000 breath test. Giroir was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Ramiro Alfaro Solis, 57, 304 Barrow Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 28, 2013 at 2:30 am for driving while intoxicated, careless operation of a vehicle, and no driver's license. A deputy located a vehicle in a ditch off of Highway 182 in Amelia and made contact with the driver, identified as Solis. The deputy observed Solis swaying. Solis was unable to maintain his balance. While speaking with the deputy, Solis admitted to drinking several alcoholic beverages prior to driving the vehicle. Solis performed poorly on the field sobriety test and later registered a 0.138g% on the Intoxilyzer 5000 breath test. Solis was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Crystal Kay Mauney, 33, 7200 Highway 182, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 29, 2013 at 7:09 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Mauney consumed several items and then exited the last point of sale without paying for the food. Mauney was released on a summons to appear in court on December 11, 2013.

Junior Randall Adams, 32, 1516 Highway 182 Lot #6, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 29, 2013 at 10:01 pm for disturbing the peace (loud music) and disturbing the peace (intoxicated). A deputy responded to a complaint of loud music coming from Adams' home. The deputy requested that Adams turn down the music and he complied. As the deputy was leaving the area, Adams turned the music up again. Adams was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $1,000.

Juvenile male, 14, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on September 29, 2013 at 11:20 pm for criminal trespass, theft, and curfew violation. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office was notified by Jeanerette Police of a juvenile in custody. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from witnesses that the juvenile was seen driving a front end loader from a business on Highway 318 into Jeanerette. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
