St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Joel W. Rios Medina, 37, 611 Irish Bend Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 26, 2013 at 8:03 am for remaining where forbidden. A deputy responded to a complaint of a subject who refused to leave. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Medina refused to leave the property after being asked to do so multiple times.
Medina was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $500.

Kevin Moore, 49, 200 South Penn Road, Franklin, LA was arrested September 26, 2013 at 9:01 am on warrant for simple battery. A deputy located Moore at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin. Moore was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was later released on a $500 bond.

Kaneesha Shaquille Williams, 23, 2408 Commercial Drive Apt. #2, Port Allen, LA was arrested on September 26, 2013 at 1:34 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Williams took items from the store without paying for them and then attempted to return the items. Williams was released on a summons to appear in court on December 11, 2013.

Levonti Bogan, 20, 6132 Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, LA was arrested on September 26, 2013 at 1:32 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana) and on a warrant for Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office for failure to appear on the charge of second degree battery. A deputy watched a vehicle run a stop sign on Frontage Road in Amelia and prepared to initiate a traffic stop. While following the vehicle, the deputy watched the driver reaching underneath his seat. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 182 and made contact with the driver, identified as Bogan. Bogan was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign. While speaking with the deputy, Bogan admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle. Marijuana was located underneath the driver's seat. The deputy also conducted a warrants check which revealed that he held an active warrant for his arrest out of Terrebonne Parish. Bogan was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Joseph Hart, 30, 400 2nd Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 26, 2013 at 8:25 pm for driving with no insurance, license plate light required, possession of Schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle without a properly illuminated license plate light. The vehicle was also listed with no insurance. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Hart. While speaking with the deputy, Hart told him that there was marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. The deputy located the illegal drug and a scale. Hart was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
