St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the holiday weekend reporting reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 162 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Juvenile male, 14, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 30, 2013 at 9:01 am for possession of Schedule I (marijuana). A deputy responded to a report that a student had illegal drugs at a school. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Lucero Ramirez Huitron, 32, 611 B, Fourth Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 30, 2013 at 1:06 pm for theft of goods (shoplifting). A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a retail store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Huitron was observed placing items in her purse. Huitron theft attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. She was released on a summons to appear in court on November 6, 2013.

Charli Bailey, 24, 175 Shady Grove Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 30, 2013 at 3:43 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. Bailey turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City after learning of the warrant for her arrest. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bailey was released on a $334.50 bond.

Juvenile male, 16, Franklin was arrested on August 30, 2013 at 5:58 pm for theft of livestock and criminal trespass. A deputy responded to a complaint of a missing horse. During the course of the investigation, the juvenile was located riding the animal through a field. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Bryanshekia Harris, 25, 110 B Martin Luther King Junior Avenue, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 30, 2013 at 6:08 pm for theft (shoplifting). A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a retail store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Harris was observed taking items out of the packaging and placing them on her person. She was released on a summons to appear in court on November 6, 2013.
Teddi-Christian Lucille Pickett, 27, 6518 Banta Street, Houston, TX was arrested on August 31, 2013 at 3:47 pm for theft of goods (shoplifting), possession of Schedule II (Hydrocodone), possession of Schedule IV (Valium), possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, and violation of a CDS law (drug free zone). A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a retail store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Pickett was observed at a check-out counter placing items in her shopping cart without paying for the goods. During the course of the investigation, the deputy located two pills in Pickett's purse. A juvenile was with Pickett at the time of the offense. Pickett was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Erica Barraza, 50, 122 Poncio Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 31, 2013 at 6:47 pm for theft (shoplifting). A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a retail store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Barraza was observed placing items in her purse and then leaving the store without paying for the items. She was released on a summons to appear in court on November 6, 2013.

Tamika Jackson, 38, 306 MLK Boulevard, Franklin, LA was arrested on August 31, 2013 at 8:41 pm for theft (shoplifting). A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a retail store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Jackson was observed placing items in her hand bag and then attempt to leave the store without paying for the items. She was released on a summons to appear in court on November 6, 2013.

Nicholas Drakulich, 3017 East 139th Avenue, Crownpoint, IN was arrested on September 1, 2013 at 12:42 pm for improper lane usage and driving while intoxicated. He was also charged on a warrant from Morgan City Police for hit and run driving, aggravated flight from an officer, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle. A deputy responded to a report of a reckless driver on Highway 90. The deputy located the suspect vehicle and watched as the driver swerved from lane to lane to lane of the roadway. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Drakulich. While speaking with Drakulich, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. Drakulich performed poorly on the field sobriety test and later registered a .191 g% on the Intoxilyzer 5000 breath test. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Fred Lamar Williams, 25, 635 Eighth Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 1, 2013 at 11:05 pm for resisting an officer (giving false information) and illegal carrying of weapons. He was also charged on a warrant for failure to appear for obstruction of a highway and operating a vehicle without a driver's license. A deputy observed a vehicle parked on the side of Highway 182 in the Franklin area. The deputy also observed a male subject walking in the middle of a lane of travel on the highway. The deputy made contact with the subject and asked him to come out of the lane of traffic. The subject refused and placed his hand in his pocket. After repeated requests by the deputy to come out of the roadway and remove his hands from his pockets, he complied. He then threw a backpack he was carrying to the ground. When the deputy retrieved the backpack, the deputy saw the handle of a gun. When the deputy asked the subject for identification, he gave a false name. The subject as later identified as Williams. Williams was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Matthew Warren Self, 24, 2851 Johnston Street, Lafayette, LA was arrested on September 2, 2013 at 10:32 am on the following charges:

Possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
Possession of Schedule II (Oxycodone)
Possession of Schedule III (Lortab), 2 counts
Possession of Schedule III (Vicodin)
Possession of Schedule III (Tylenol w/ Codeine)
Possession of Schedule IV (Xanax)
Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Soma)
Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance

A deputy responded to a report of a man with a gun in the Cypremort Point area. The deputy located a vehicle matching the description given in the report and made contact with the driver identified as Self. During the course of the investigation, a gun was located in the vehicle along with multiple types of pills. Self could not provide proof of a prescription for the pills. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Juvenile female, 16, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 2, 2013 at 10:41 pm for simple battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a battery on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that the juvenile struck the victim multiple times following a verbal argument. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
