According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 145 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Timothy Matthews, Jr., 47, 318 South Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 16, 2013 at 10:41 am on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of leased movables and issuing worthless checks. Matthews was brought in to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center by a bondsman. He was booked and incarcerated. Matthews was later transferred to another jurisdiction.
Destiny Theriot, 36, 158 Polaris Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on August 16, 2013 at 10:59 am on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge. A deputy located Theriot on the warrant at business on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $319.50 bond.
Courtney Rodriguez, 33, 613 ½ Tenth Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on Auust 16, 2013 at 12:57 pm on three warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family. Rodriguez was located at the Franklin Police Department. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $19,520.79.
William Howell, 42, 711 Terrebonne Street Apt. #11, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 16, 2013 at 10:44 pm for simple battery and on a warrant from the Morgan City Police Department for failure to appear. A deputy responded to a report of a battery on Offshore Lane in Amelia. The deputy made contact with Howell and observed the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Howell and another male subject were involved in a verbal argument when Howell struck the male victim in the face. Howell was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Scott Treadway, 49, 100 Naquin Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on August 18, 2013 at 10:19 pm for possession of open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. A deputy responded to a complaint of an unattended vehicle in the roadway on Highway 83. Upon arrival, the deputy located the vehicle and detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage inside the truck. The deputy determined that the vehicle belonged to Treadway. During the investigation, Treadway returned to his vehicle. While speaking with Treadway, the deputy detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. Treadway was released on a summons to appear in court on November 6, 2013.
