According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 58 complaints and reports the following arrests:
William Bourgeois, 24, 347 Historic West, Garyville, LA was arrested on June 24, 2013 at 10:48 am for disturbing the peace by fighting.
Timothy Gourdon, 41, 19340 Gourdon Lane, Port Vincent, LA was arrested on June 24, 2013 at 11:06 am for simple battery and disturbing the peace by fighting.
A deputy responded to a complaint of a fight at the Fairview Treatment Center on Southeast Blvd. in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that two residents, identified as Bourgeois and Gourdon, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical encounter. An employee at the facility attempting to break up the fight was struck Gourdon. Gourdon was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $750. Bourgeois was released on a summons to appear in court on September 3, 2013.
Regina Sinitiere, 36, 119 Martin Luther King Drive, Baldwin, LA was arrested on June 24, 2013 at 1:49 pm on warrants for failure to appear on charges including driving while intoxicated and theft. She is also charged on a warrant for 5 counts of issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Sinitiere at her residence on the warrants. Sinitiere was transported to the parish law enforcement center for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Jennifer Hatfield, 36, 130 Dotties Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 24, 2013 at 10:19 pm for disturbing the peace intoxicated, criminal trespass, and simple criminal damage to property. A deputy responded to a complaint regarding a civil matter at residence on Hunting Road in Ricohoc. The deputy made contact with Hatfield and detected the odor of alcohol on her breath. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Hatfield had entered onto the property without permission, threw a knife at the residence, and broke a window. Hatfield was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $1,750.
Kim Christopher Armand, 50, 505 Brashear Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 24, 2013 at 10:45 pm for theft, simple criminal damage to property, and possession of drug paraphernalia. On June 22, 2013, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office began an investigation into a theft at Walmart in Bayou Vista. The suspect, who can be seen on video surveillance footage, broke into two cash registers, took over $3,000 in cash, and left the store on a bicycle. In an effort to identify the suspect, details of the case were released on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Facebook page and to local media outlets. Shortly after that release, a detective received information regarding the identity and whereabouts of the suspect in the video. Investigators located the suspect, identified as Armand, at the Morgan City Motel on Brashear Avenue in Morgan City. Upon executing a search warrant of Armand's room, additional evidence linking him to the crime was located. Armand was also found to be in possession of items of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Again, this crime was solved as a direct result of the public's assistance.
