According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 52 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Jeffrey Lee Schexnider, 34, 421 Southeast Boulevard, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 19, 2013 at 11:38 am four warrants from Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office for failure to appear on charges including flight from an officer, careless operation, illegal possession of stolen property, and issuing worthless checks. After receiving information from Calcasieu Parish SO, a deputy located Schexnider at his residence on the warrants. He was transported to the parish jail for booking. He is being held pending transport to Calcasieu Parish.
Breonne Bowie, 25, 421 Lockett Road #2, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on June 19, 2013 at 1:03 pm on warrants from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office for armed robbery, armed robbery with a firearm, and probation violation. Bowie was also charged on a warrant from Louisiana State Police for resisting an officer, seatbelt violation, and driving under suspension. Bowie turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin after learning of the warrant for his arrest. The SMPSO warrants on the robbery charges stem from an investigation conducted on June 5, 2013 in Jeanerette. Bowie robbed a male victim at gunpoint taking several hundred dollars. The robbery occurred at the victim's residence. Bowie was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Wallace Jones, 46, 642 North 38th Street, Baton Rouge, LA was arrested on June 19, 2013 at 2:46 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of monetary instrument abuse, forgery, and theft. A deputy located Jones at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. Jones was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $15,000 bond.
Robert R. Conner, 38, 194 Jupiter Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 19, 2013 at 7:37 pm on warrants for leash law violation and issuing worthless checks. Conner turned himself in at the SMPSO in Morgan City. The warrant for leash law violation stems from an incident that occurred in November of 2012. A deputy observed a large brown dog roaming the Bayou Vista area of Jupiter, Field, and South Roads. The second warrant on the charge of issuing worthless checks is dated June 2013. Connor was released on a summons to appear in court on September 3, 2013.
