St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Dwayne Collins, 36, 1312 Martin Luther King Road, Charenton, LA was arrested on June 11, 2013 at 9:21 am for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a report of a battery. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Collins struck a 33 year old female victim in the face with his fist during a verbal argument. Collins was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Charles Douglas Chandler, II, 21, 149 Sun Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 11, 2013 at 10:35 am on a warrant for two counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. On May 28, 2013, a detective with St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office began an investigation into a report of a possible rape. The detective learned that Chandler had sexual intercourse with a 16 year old female juvenile twice at his residence on Sun Road. The two encounters took place in March. Chandler was already incarcerated at the time of the charges listed above. He remains in jail with no bond.

Michael Drummond, 34, 900 Short Street Alley, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 11, 2013 at 12:46 pm on warrants for cyberstalking and telephone harassment. A deputy located Drummond at his residence on the warrant. The warrant stems from a recent investigation into a complaint of harassment taking place on a social networking website. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Drummond took over the female victim's Facebook page by changing the password. Drummond then began posting derogatory comments and threats on the victim's personal page. He also sent the victim several text messages. Drummond was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Shundren Johnson, 17, 1518 Cherry Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 11, 2013 at 8:03 pm for criminal trespass and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.

Dylan A. Guillory, 17, 508 Taft Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 11, 2013 at 8:03 pm for criminal trespass and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.

A deputy responded to a complaint of two male subjects breaking into a residence on Highway 182 in the Patterson area. Using descriptions provided by the complainant, the deputy located the subjects who were riding bicycles near Patterson High School. The subjects were identified as Johnson and Guillory. During the investigation, the deputy determined that Johnson and Guillory had entered a home without the permission of the resident. Both were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Jereith Callery, 26, 211 Jones Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on June 11, 2013 at 8:16 pm for illegal possession of stolen things. Looking for a subject regarding an unrelated matter, a deputy checked the license plate of a vehicle parked at an apartment complex on Jones Street. The deputy learned that earlier in the day, the license plate had been reported to Morgan City Police as having been stolen. Through further investigation, the deputy learned that the vehicle that the stolen plate was on belonged to Callery. Callery was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Roger Garcia, 49, 810 Levee Road Lot #4, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 11, 2013 at 9:32 pm for domestic abuse battery, disturbing the peace intoxicated, four counts of resisting an officer, and two counts of battery on a police officer.

Tara Garcia, 44, 810 Levee Road Lot #4, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 11, 2013 at 9:32 pm for domestic abuse battery.

A deputy responded to a report of a male and female subject fighting inside a vehicle on Moon Road in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Roger and Tara Garcia were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. Just prior to this incident, deputies responded to a request to remove Roger Garcia from a bar in the Bayou Vista area. The deputy detected the strong smell of alcohol on Roger Garcia's person. Both were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Upon arrival at the jail, Roger Garcia refused to exit the police unit and proceeded to spit repeatedly in the vehicle and on deputies. At this time, no bond is set for Roger Garcia or Tara Garcia.
