According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Christopher Crochet, 23, 1043 Belleview Street Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 17, 2013 at 4:27 pm on a warrant for simple battery and aggravated battery. Crochet turned himself in at the parish jail in Centerville. The warrant stems from an March 20, 2013 investigation into a domestic disturbance at a residence on Belleview Street. Deputies learned that Crochet struck a female victim and was involved in a physical altercation with a male victim. Following the fight, Crochet left the residence. Both victims were transported to Teche Regional Medical Center for treatment. Crochet's bond is set at $1,500.
Anthony Lemar, 46, 1772 West Main Port Allen, LA was arrested on April 18, 2013 at 2:46 am for 2 counts of disturbing the peace intoxicated. A deputy responded to a complaint of a subject who was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the Bayou Vista Truck Stop. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a subject, identified as Lemar. During the investigation, Lemar appeared to be intoxicated. He was transported to Franklin Foundation Hospital. Once he arrived, Lemar refused to cooperate with doctors and nurses. Lemar was later transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
