According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 45 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Dwayne Jackson, 32, 125 Alexander Street Franklin, LA was arrested on April 9, 2013 at 3:12 pm on warrants for possession of Schedule II drugs,possession of Schedule IV drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and parole violation. A deputy was advised that a subject with an outstanding warrant from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office was located at the Jeanerette Police Department. Jackson was transported to the SMPSO in Franklin. He was later transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Deondre Demarcus Skinner, 19, 434 Tiffany Street Patterson, LA was arrested on April 9, 2013 at 3:55 pm on a warrant for felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. The SMPSO received a complaint on March 25, 2013 of an ungovernable juvenile. During the course of the investigation, the detective assigned to the case learned that Skinner had sex with a 14 year old juvenile female on multiple occasions at a residence in Patterson. Skinner was located at the SMPSO in Morgan City and transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Skinner was released was released on a $5,000 bond.
Female juvenile, 16, Bayou Vista was arrested on April 9, 2013 at 10:59 pm for reckless operation of a vehicle. The SMPSO received a complaint of a vehicle crash. The deputy responded to Cremo Lane in Patterson where he observed a damaged vehicle in a ditch and a telephone pole that appeared to have been struck. During the course of the investigation, the deputy identified the driver of the vehicle as a 16 year old female. She was transported to Teche Regional Medical Center for treatment following the crash. After her release from the hospital and the deputy's initial investigation, she was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
